Class was postponed by one hour this morning, so I had the luxury of turning off my alarm on a school day, sitting down with my breakfast, listening to music and drinking my morning coffee at home. It feels so different and good. Even though we just had a long weekend, my mind has been asking for time to stop. These little moments of calm help me accept that it will keep going, no matter what I do.

It's amazing how being able to follow our body-rhythms instead of other rhythms contributes so much to feelings of groundedness and wellbeing. I'm about to start my yoga training, and I'm nervous that waking up at 5:30 is going to seriously fuck with me at a moment when I want to be feeling really solid and healthy. I'll be drawing strength from knowing you're doing it too, sister of the alarm-clock.
