Wind/Horse

"One interesting thing about surrendering is that it's different from giving up. When you surrender there is a tremendous sense of freedom....Basically, when we surrender we are no longer spoiled." ~ Makkyi Rabjam Jampal Trinley Dradul

I am reaching my fingers through the hair of the grass and the pine boughs. My currents swirl over the ocean and through the mountain passes to caress your hair and lift your chin. In broad daylight you are arguing with the wind - I push you, cry out for your attention, pull you into an embrace right there in broad daylight while the crows fly overhead. I whisper to you about the things I've seen. I am fleeting and renewing - now a stream of particles flowing clear through the Vermont forest, now a wave crashing on rocks, breaking, refracting, prisming.

I have a great deal of freedom, of lightness in my life. Contain me, let me escape you. Feel me slipping through your fingers, receding from you, retreating from you, running from you, withdrawing, galloping away. Rearing up on two legs. I am not a wild horse. I am still a work horse. I am a grazing horse. I am a racing horse. I am your favorite horse. It is as simple as this: some things and I buck you off, some things and I take you across the ocean of plains with grace, strength, and intoxicating velocity.

I will to surrender to a just master.

I want to be filled with Love, I want to be Free. I want to serve humbly without expectation of praise, I want to be praised.
